
The $6.4 billion enhancement program at Philadelphia International Airport, including the construction of a new runway and two runway extensions has been awarded to a joint venture between CH2M HILL, Delon Hampton & Associates and CMTS. The Philadelphia Airport expansion could boost construction jobs, trigger the economy and create a state-of-the-art facilities for travelers.
The project is anticipated to take 12 to 15 years to complete and will include:
- Upgrade and expansion of the terminal complex
- Construction of a new Automated People Mover
- Construction of a new ground transportation center
- Airport support facilities
- New Hangars
