The new urban umbrella scaffolding
is making its way in the Canadian market. The concept, originally from New York, features an interesting and aesthetic concept of vibrant and elegant scaffolding that makes sidewalks and building entrances eye appealing. The first projects, in the Toronto area, will be using the concept made of recycled steel
and plastic to eliminate the traditional dark scaffolding concept.
Urban Umbrella was created after winning a design competition to reduce and eliminate traditional scaffolding while enhancing sidewalks and walkable areas. The concept allows more than 85% of natural light onto the sidewalks while leaves additional space of sidewalk and eliminates the hazard of scaffolding cross bracing.
