Canada is suffering a shortage of construction workers and they could even be offering some pretty good deals to make it more attractive for skilled tradesman. Canada has suffered since 2007 a recession that has hit hard on the construction industry, but the market could be picking up as new projects are starting construction. Construction workers especially, carpenters, welders, ironworkers, crane operators, gas fitters, industrial plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, geotechnical and electrical engineers and other construction workers will be needed soon for jobs up in Canada. Some companies are even willing to offer transportation, housing, and long-term commitments to construction workers to work in British Columbia. After six months, workers and employers have a chance to negotiate a new work deal. Passports and work visas are required, but the employers can expedite getting the work visas. The recruitment is coordinated by the British Columbia Construction Association.
