Nanotechnology Improving Insulation Products

Nano-technological advances are driving the construction industry to find innovative products. Recent discoveries have found that a new thermal insulation product called Aerogel could be the product of the future. Aerogel is a product created to become the popular choice for insulation in commercial buildings and houses. The product is said to provide about 40 times the insulation provided by fiberglass which allows its use in space-restricted scenarios, and even in insulating glass panels. 'Aerogel' is a highly porous, solid foam, generally made of silica and can have several shapes and forms.
