$653 Million Louvre Abu Dhabi Receives Go Ahead

The Saadiyat Culture District will finally have its own Louvre Abu Dhabi museum. The Saadiyat Island, one of the largest construction being developed at the moment, will have the world's three largest museum once they are finished by 2017. The Saadiayt Island will also be the home to The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Zayed National Museum, among other huge developments such as a shopping mall being design sitting next to these gigantic museums. The Abu Dhabi museum will cover more than 60,000 square meters designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, a design that will be showcasing Arabian engineering. Arabtec has been selected as the builder for this $653.06 million project.
