A total of $8.84 billion is what will likely cost the construction of the World's biggest airport, that will serve more than 150 million annual passengers. The new airport will sit in Turkey and probably will be built in four stages occupying more than 800 million square feet of land. Although Turkey airports are very busy, the expected economy movement in the region will likely create additional visitors to the area, hence the reason why the government is planning such large project. At this moment China is building a new super high capacity airport capable of managing 130 million passengers per year, and larger than JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports combined. London is also analyzing the possibility of developing a $80 billion airport near the Thames estuary. The world's busiest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, which serves 90 million passengers annually.
