
President Barack Obama during the State of the Union will focus on energy issues and clean air regulations. Along with EPA Clean Air Act regulations, the State of the Union speech will still be directed to increase the use of renewable energy, reducing emissions from existing power plants to 17 percent below 2005 levels by year 2020. 'It means that we've got an energy agenda that can make us less dependent on foreign oil, but also that we're cultivating the kind of clean energy strategy that will maintain our leadership well into the future,' the president said. Another important issue that the President will be addressing is the so called sequestration and how could it affect specifically the construction industry if all those cuts are made staring in March 1st.This year's speech marks the 100th anniversary of the State of the Union.
