On March 5, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge will flip on the switch to light up more than 25,000 white LED lights. The $8 million Bay Light Project will then become the World's Largest Light Sculpture costing more than $11,000 annually backed up by private funds. No light pattern will be repeated within two years, furthermore the light pattern will not be visible to drivers across the bridge, although you will be able to watch if passing below the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge. The lights were installed on vertical suspender cables connected to the 1.8-mile suspension bridge that goes between Treasure Island and San Francisco.
