Yas Island has been under construction since 2007 and is expected to be completed early on 2018. Yas Island made our list of largest projects with an estimated construction cost of $39 billion. Yas Island will host a Ferrari theme park, the first of its kind, and will be completed later this year.

This project will cover more than 25 million square meter and will have superior attractions such as a world-class motor racetrack, a Warner Bros park, hotels, residential units, retail areas, golf courses and food and beverage retailers.
The retail area will be larger than 300,000 square meters and will be located just 10 minutes away from Abu Dhabi Internation Airport. The complex will also have its own Marina and Yatch Club creating a unique and vibrant destination. The Ferrari theme park will be the world's largest indoor theme park. More than 1,800 hotel rooms and thousands of square foot for conferencing facilities will also be build. Yas Island also holds the largest IKEA store in the Mena region and a superb Mall is set for opening on late 2013. A new water park is also being developed with a construction completion date near mid 2013. Yas Island is expected to be completed in 2018.
